After a long day, it’s always great to kick back on the couch and relax with a funny show.
DaddyVents and I have been huge fans of Katy Mixon’s comedic scenes as Victoria on CBS’s Mike and Molly and now as Katie on ABC’s newest hit, American Housewife.
Mixon plays the hilarious Katie Otto, a wisecracking wife and mom of three. Katie’s working to accept herself and her parenting philosophy in a town of Fitbit-wearing, green juice chugging, Stepford-like moms. “This is about a family who is really quite authentic, living in an inauthentic world,” Mixon told E! News. “The trials and tribulations that go with that are endless.”
This month, the ABC star covers Good Housekeeping Magazine, showing off her baby bump. Just six months after the couple welcomed their son Kingston Saint in May 2017, Mixon found out she was expecting again.“This happened…just the quickest situation ever,” she said in an Access Hollywood interview. “[I] couldn’t be more shocked,” she added. “Didn’t know it was possible. But me and my fiancé, we are welcoming it.”
Expecting a baby girl in May, she and her fiancée, retired track and field athlete and current javelin throw record holder Breaux Green, commemorated the March cover and their new addition with a baby sprinkle at Good Housekeeping’s New York City offices–and I was invited to celebrate with them!
In a room at the filled with festive pink and gold balloons, we welcomed the couple’s baby girl and got to check out Good Housekeeping’s top rated and tested baby items.
