Girl’s Night In the Middle of the Day – The Circle of Sisters Expo!

Hey mom. Lemme ask you a question. When’s the last time you had girl’s night?

That long, huh?

What if I told you that you could have all the fun of girl’s night, right in the middle of the day? And what if that girl’s night included free giveaways, celebrity panels, cooking demonstrations, and…drumroll please… shopping?

The Circle of Sisters is back at the Jacob Javits Convention Center this weekend! Presented by AARP New York and hosted by Emmis New York’s hottest radio stations–WBLS-FM 107.5, NY’s #1 source for R&B, 1190 WLIB-AM, the home of Gospel & Inspiration, and WQHT-FM HOT 97, Where Hip Hop Lives–the Circle of Sisters is the largest EXPO in New York City uniting, motivating and celebrating women of color. And I’m going!

For the 2nd year in a row, I’ll be providing an inside look at the Circle of Sisters. From the panels to the breakout sessions, I’ll be taking you on a tour of the Expo floor! Be sure to follow @mymommyvents on Instagram and Twitter to join in on the fun. Check out last year’s event recap here.

Over two days, you’ll be treated to panel discussions, seminars, and inspirational services, including a sold out gospel concert featuring Tye Tribbett, Vashawn Mitchell, and Bishop Hezekiah Walker, and a fashion show with the hottest looks for fall by Ashley Stewart. There’s a culinary corner sponsored by Healthfirst with celebrity chefs  sharing healthy living tips and recipes, and the MetroPlus Performance Stage featuring Joe, Mario, cast members from The Color Purple on Broadway, KeKe Wyatt, and more!

Business women should check out the “The HustleHer Next Door: She Thinks It.  She Creates It.  She Gets PAID” with WBLS’s Deja Vu on Saturday. Moms will be moved by the stories of the families of Eric Garner, Philando Castille, Oscar Grant and Terrance Crutcher during the State of Black America: Stop the Killing. And on Sunday, get refreshed with interviews with bestselling author and co-anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America, Robin Roberts,  the first-ever Miss USA to be in the military; Deshauna Barber, and a “Mommies & Millennials” session with WBLS’ Shaila and her daughter, HOT 97’s ScottieBeam.

With so much to see and do, you’ll have to be there on Saturday and Sunday–so be sure to get your tickets to experience this year’s Circle of Sisters!

See you there!
