Having kids in your car is 12x more distracting than being on your smart phone, and babies in the car are 8x more distracting than adult passengers.<\/p>\n

In a room overlooking the NYC skyline, Nissan safety engineer and SnugRide technician Nicole Bojanzyk and Bloggin\u2019 Mamas Founder and CEO Heather Lopez shared facts about how Nissan is keeping families safe.<\/p>\n

Over a tasty lunch (seriously, the salmon was delish!), we heard some startling statistics about kids in the car\u2013and why we should always buckle up! Children should stay in car seats until the meet the height and weight requirements, and your car seat restraints shouldn\u2019t move more than an inch when pulled to the side at the seat belt path.<\/p>\n

We learned that car seats can have recalls and expiration dates, so it\u2019s important to check the VIN#s<\/a> and make sure they\u2019re still up to date! The back seat is the safest place for kids under the age of 13.<\/p>\n
