Instagram’s blue check means that an account is the “authentic presence of the public figure, celebrity or global brand it represents.” The verified badge is meant to mark celebrities, bloggers, and influencers as trustworthy, genuine, and honest.

Known as Mother of Daughters to over 700k followers, Clemmie Hooper used the photo sharing platform to share idyllic pictures of her husband and four daughters- but behind the scenes, things were far from picture perfect.

Under a false identity, the midwife turned influencer harassed and bullied other bloggers and their families–including her own husband, father_of_daughters–on a UK gossip site, Tattle Life. Using the alias “Alice in Wanderlust,” Clemmie Hooper attacked bloggers, using details they’d entrusted her with during her “Birth Stories” podcast.

Hooper’s trolling seemed be focused on black women–just a week after Make Motherhood Diverse‘s founder Candice Brathwaithe appeared on the podcast to discuss health disparities, like the fact that black women are 5 times more likely to die during birth; Hooper took to Tattle Life as Alice in Wanderlust to brand Brathwaite as “really aggressive” and “weaponizing race.”

⁣ To say that the support shown to me in the last 12 or so hours, has knocked me sideways, is a severe understatement. ⁣ ⁣ I say this during a week that has quite frankly kicked my arse privately and publicly and yet because of how I look, I’ve felt that I couldn’t use my voice. I have felt shamed and silenced and it’s a very powerful combination. But I’ve awoken this morning with a feeling I couldn’t put my finger on because I haven’t felt it in so long and I think it’s called freedom. ⁣ ⁣ It is freedom. ⁣ ⁣ Shame doesn’t live here anymore. And nor does silence. ⁣ ⁣ What someone tried to use as poison, you all have helped turn into my power and an infinity of thank you’s could never, ever be enough. If we were doing so much when my tongue was still quite rooted to the roof of my mouth, imagine all of the fun we can have now. I love you guys so much. ❤️
