There’s something about a rounded belly that transforms everyday people into experts.
During those 9 months, strangers will become pediatricians, fortune tellers, and birthing professionals. They’ll be able to tell you the baby’s sex based on how you’re carrying, or how much hair your baby will have based on your heartburn*, but are strangely unable to determine just how exhausting it can be to listen to other people’s constant comments on your body.
*If you’re suffering from heartburn, old wives say your baby will be born with a full head of hair. Try drinking a glass of milk for some relief.
