You know the drill. The ball drops, and you make a resolution to “get healthy” this year. You tell yourself that you’ll work out every day. Or eat more salad. Or start that keto thing.
I’ll be honest with you–I did too. I ordered some resistance bands in my favorite color from Amazon. I stalked–I mean, followed, more fitness bloggers on Instagram to heart their acai bowls and yoga sessions. I pinned workouts and 30 day challenges to my Pinterest boards. I ate exactly two salads.
Surprisingly, those two salads haven’t really made a difference. Yet. I mean, it’s not even February. It could still happen. And now that I’ve got Bellabeat to keep me on track, I can see my progress all through 2019.
I fell in love with Bellebeat’s suite of female-focused products at last year’s WELL Summit. After sitting in on sessions led by wellness experts, I browsed through the aisles of clean beauty products and organic snacks–until one table caught my attention.
Bellabeat’s line of smart jewelry tracks your fitness and wellness in a device that’s actually pretty. I can see how I’m doing without a bulky rubber band or huge screen, and my tracker blends in with the accessories I already wear. I chose the new Bellabeat Time, a hybrid watch with a classic design.
Unlike other trackers, it doesn’t need to be charged every few days–the battery lasts up to 6 months! In June, I’ll just need to buy a new coin battery (so easy to find at the pharmacy) and pop it in. No excuses!
After downloading the app (available on iPhone and Android), I set up my profile and synced my watch. A simple double tap on the face of my Time is all I need to see my daily activity–from the steps it takes to get to the office to how many hours of sleep I got last night. I can even track my sensitivity to stress, along with my reproductive health and fertile days each month (no more surprises!).
If I’ve been sitting at my desk for too long, my Time vibrates gently to let me know that it’s time to take a break. Bellabeat helps me tracks my mental wellness, too. If I’m stressed out about a deadline, there are over 30 audio guided meditations, ambient sounds, and breathing exercises on the app to help me clear my mind.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see that I mentioned tracking my water intake in my stories. With Bellabeat’s BPA free Spring water bottle, I can see if I’m drinking enough water way before dehydration sets in–I just shake my bottle to sync my daily ounces in the app.
Spring calculates the optimal amount of water for your body based on your activity level, age, height, weight, local weather and if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. I’ve been adding fruit to my bottle to give my water a little flavor, and it’s working! I’m only 20 ounces away from the daily goal my Spring set for me. This week I’ve been trying lemon, mint leaves, and blueberries.
With different accessories to personalize your jewelry, you can find a style that’s all your own. Interchangeable mala beads, active straps, and necklaces let you wear your device as a bracelet during Zumba or as a necklace at Sunday brunch. You can even clip your device onto your yoga pants to track your sirvasana.
Best of all, Bellabeat was kind enough to send me one of their new Chakra Leaf Love trackers–to give to one of you!
This tracker is enhanced with Rose Quartz, a stone known for promoting a positive outlook towards self and others. So not only will you be able to track your workouts, you might even feel more positive about doing them.
Want to win? I’ll make it easy–go to the Mymommyvents Instagram page and leave a comment on the Bellabeat giveaway post. I’ll announce a winner on Friday, February 1st, 2019. Good luck!
